Salt and Pepper Shakers
Create a functional, sculptural salt and pepper shaker set. Think of each as two totally different miniature sculptures. The two ideas should go together as a set but they should be very different sculpturally. They will need holes for salt and pepper to come out near the top and a hole in the back or bottom to fill them up for use. I will provide you with a 9/16" silicone stopper, which you will need to plug the bottom hole. Remember that clay shrinks as it dries so the holes will need to be a slightly larger to account for this. Your shakers should have sculptural three-dimensional details made with clay and time and effort should be apparent.
