Altered Edge/Shape Pinch Pot
Requirements
Create a small pot using the pinch technique. Aim for uniform thickness on all walls.
Alter the shape of the pot by paddling or bending and/or alter the edge of the pot by cutting or bending.
Slip and Score a foot or feet to the bottom of your pot.
Put your full name (first and last) on the bottom of the foot.
After bisque firing apply one glaze or a combination of two (second glaze only on top half of pot).Wipe glaze off of the entire foot of your pot.
Grading: 25 points
5 points: pot is made using the pinch technique and it is clear the student attempted to get uniform thickness throughout
5 points: a foot, or feet are attached by slipping and scoring (if foot falls off score marks are visible)
5 points: the pot has an altered shape or altered edge. It is clear that the student put forth effort to alter the pot and/or refine the shape/edge
3 points: first and last name visible on bottom of pot
2 points: after completion, self-reflection questions are thoughtfully answered
5 points: pot is glazed on time and all glaze is wiped off the foot/feet. No runners were used and no more than 2 glazes were used. If a second glaze is used, it must only be on the top half of the pot
